Have a Super Street Fighter IV year!!!

Seraph

The year of the Tiger is just 12 minutes away as I bring you some more Super Street Fighter IV goodness. This time there’s a short animation of Juri, the new femme fatale tae kwan do user. You’ll see her kick the guts out of Chun Li as she fights off Guile and Cammy. Short and sweet, just hope they make a special animation like they did for Street Fighter IV. Well enjoy the short animation, Happy Chinese New Year to my fellow readers!!

For those celebrating Valentine’s Day tomorrow, have a treat with three of Super Street Fighter IV’s femme fatale, Juri, Chun Li and Cammy in glorious 3D inked animation.

Super Street Fighter IV

Seraph

It’s the new year of 2010 and I can’t help but get excited by this classic brawler, Street Fighter. We all knew that it was a matter of time before a sequel would be released, the only thing I did not anticipate was the naming convention, Super Street Fighter IV sounds like a lazy way of thinking up a new name for a game, but for this instance, I guess people don’t really care once the game gets fired up.

In this iteration Capcom has added 6 new characters, Juri, Guy, Cody, T-Hawk, Dee-Jay and Adon and at the same time adding new Super Combos to the existing cast of fan favorites. To whet your appetite, here’s a trailer of fights to come once Super Street Fighter reaches fighters world wide this coming March!

Fat is in?

Seraph

I can’t help but notice that as of late, it would seem that fat characters are rather popular in fighting games, don’t believe me? Take a look at Rufus from Street Fighter 4 and Bob from Tekken 6. Sure we’ve seen big characters before such as Zangief, E-Honda, and the likes but these guys are big because of their muscles and hey E-Honda’s a sumo wrestler. But with Rufus and Bob, they’re really, to put it politely, fat, yes just look at Rufus and you can see he’s like a big ball of jello, Bob’s still has a thick layer of fat around him but his animations aren’t as comical as Rufus.

Guess what, for all their fat, these two characters are surprisingly agile and flexible and not to be prejudice about fat people but we have a real life example of how agile they can be, anyone who watches Kung Fu movies would be familiar with Samo Hung, although not quite the same size as our video game characters but he sure isn’t err… thin, yet he’s a very agile fighter. Check out the videos below to see what I mean.

Rufus shakes his jelly belly as he confronts his rival to become the No. 1 fighter in the USA!

Bob putting the hurt down on some Tekken characters in this trailer.

This really disproves the stereotype that has long been established that fat people are slow, heck they could possibly be faster than you, so think twice before laughing at tubby next time ya. On a side note, maybe fat could become the next ‘in’ look, afterall it’s we humans who dictate these so called ‘trends’ (sorry but could not think of a more appropriate word to use here)

Street Fighter IV OVA – Part 2

Seraph

I hope you enjoyed the first part of the OVA, part 2 continues the investigation of Cammy on the missing fighters and an odd phenomenon of exploding cells. More familiar faces make an appearence as well, now less talk and enjoy the anime.

Street Fighter IV OVA 1

Seraph

Fans of Street Fighter might have already watched this, especially those who have an XBox 360 and have played Street Fighter IV (SFIV). For me, although I’m a fan of Street Fighter fan, although I’m not so fortunate to own an XBox 360 nor have I played SFIV before, and so I was quite pleased to find out about this OVA series for SFIV. Wonder if Capcom will make it into a proper anime series or not, you hear Capcom? We want more Street Fighter!!

Well let us enjoy the first episode, it’s been split up to 6 episodes altogether, here I present you the first episode of the six:
