Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds is upon us

After so many years, Capcom has finally decided to release a sequel to the acclaimed Marvel vs Capcom 2 which is still highly popular around the world. The art style this time round follows Street Fighter IV’s style. Marvel vs Capcom 3 retains the frantic 3 on 3 tag team match with new additions such as Dante and Chris Redfield from Capcom and Deadpool from Marvel to the fray. Dormammu appears to be the new villain in the series, watch the videos to whet your appetites for this long awaited fighter!

Hakan – The Oil Grappler

Finally the 10th new warrior for Super Street Fighter IV has been revealed, bringing to the Street Fiighter universe a very oddball fighter – Hakan. a grappler type with an affinity for oil… Seriously how do you grab something when you are all oily? Which brings us to Hakan’s wacky oil moves, where most if not all of them involve squeezing his opponent until they slip out of his grip and is sent flying to kingdom come. Trust me, you wouldn’t want to be on the receiving end of this grapplers moves (for obvious reasons), watch the video below to see what I mean. Looking forward to this game, the first quarter of the year of the Tiger is really sucking gamers dry with all these great titles, I guess the ‘Tiger’ is really hungry for our money this time round.

God of War III – An Epic Finale

Chaos is upon us as Kratos decends on us in full HD glory and gore in God of War III!! You will be killing a lot of gods in this game, it might actually make you feel invincible. The year of the Tiger is just 12 minutes away as I bring you some more Super Street Fighter IV goodness. This time there’s a short animation of Juri, the new femme fatale tae kwan do user. You’ll see her kick the guts out of Chun Li as she fights off Guile and Cammy. Short and sweet, just hope they make a special animation like they did for Street Fighter IV. Chaos will rise

The year of the Tiger sees Kratos bringing chaos and vengeance to the PS3, quite fitting I suppose. In this final chapter of the God of War series, Kratos leads the Titans on a war against the Gods of Olympus. Will the Titans finally triumph against their captors with the aid of the God of War? God of War III Making Of Featurette

God of War III is a highly anticipated action game coming to the PS3 this March. Fans of the franchise have more to look forward to and do in this final chapter of the series. It’s the new year of 2010 and I can’t help but get excited by this classic brawler, Street Fighter. We all knew that it was a matter of time before a sequel would be released, the only thing I did not anticipate was the naming convention, Super Street Fighter IV sounds like a lazy way of thinking up a new name for a game, but for this instance, I guess people don’t really care once the game gets fired up.

In this iteration Capcom has added 6 new characters, Juri, Guy, Cody, T-Hawk, Dee-Jay and Adon and at the same time adding new Super Combos to the existing cast of fan favorites. To whet your appetite, here’s a trailer of fights to come once Super Street Fighter reaches fighters world wide this coming March!

Batman Arkham Asylum 2 Trailer

Fans of Batman and the more recent Batman Arkham Asylum game will be pleased to know that a sequel is in the making. From the ending sequence of Batman Arkham Asylum, we clearly see that there are loose ends to the story, which I assume this sequel will tie up. The Ultimate Weapon

Being a fighting game fan, one needs a weapon worthy of the fight. I’m lucky to have got my hands on one of these babies, may I present to you my Ultimate Weapon: Madcatz Fight Stick TE Collector’s Edition! It was quite hard to find one in our local stores, although it was pricey, bought it at RM680, I’d say I have no regrets.

The stick is very sturdy and well built, precision is excellent and the Sanwa buttons are just a joy to push. The stick is gorgeously decorated with the original Street Fighter IV arcade booth artwork, the buttons are responsive to the touch and there’s plenty of space to rest your wrist on this baby, no more slipping hands off in the middle of a fight!

There’s even a certificate of authenticity on the inside flap of the box!

All eight buttons from the PS3 controller are mapped out in sequence, with the L2 and R2 buttons colored in black. Depends on the game you’re playing, those two buttons will hardly be used.

This is somewhat of a extra feature, just as what third party controllers used to have, the turbo setting is also available on this stick! Again it will hardly be used for purists. The PS button (presented as the Home button here) is also tucked away in the upper left corner to avoid accidental presses.

If you’re wondering where the Start and Select buttons are, they are cleverly tucked away at the back of the stick, again to avoid accidental presses and leave the surface of the stick as clean as possible.

Well this isn’t a full review of the stick, it’s just a proud cry from the owner to flaunt his weapon. Though I wouldn’t call myself an expert yet, but I’m still pretty good, anyone want to go a few rounds with me? Lastly Ryu and C.Viper are having a blast fighting on top of my Ultimate Weapon!
