The anticipated Penang Bon Odori Festival 2012 is back again this year with more exciting performances, activities and lucky draw prizes!
This coming Saturday from 6.00pm-11.00pm, bring your family and friends to witness a showcase of Japanese culture, try out delicious Japanese food and not to mention, mingle around with the Japanese community in Penang.

There will be an exciting line up of performances, including 45 performers specially imported from Japan. The first is a traditional Japanese Folk Dance by Iyo-Kenkyu Kai group, followed by a drum group from Nagoya City “DAGAYA” and lastly is a group of students from Otaru University of Commerce that will perform the Yosakoi So-Ran dance.
Some of the highlight of Lucky Draw this year includes a one Night Cruise on Stuperstar Libra and 20 one-night stay of buffet meals from hotels in Penang.
There will also be delicious Japanese and Penang hawker food (Halal & Non Halal) Cosplay showcase, Kendo, Ghost House, various other activities and an extravagant display of fireworks at 10.00pm.
Members of the public are encouraged to dress in Japanese traditional costumes.
In conjunction with the Bon Odori Festival, there will be a Bon Odori Photography Competition.
